The tools are related, but the craft is different. SMP uses specialized needles, pigments, and depths designed for the scalp so each impression heals as a tiny, follicle-like point rather than spreading like body tattoo ink. That specialization is exactly why artist experience matters.

SMP is permanent, with a soft fade over the years; most clients refresh the tone every 4 to 6 years. The blue-green scalps you may have seen came from body tattoo inks used by inexperienced artists. We use carbon-based SMP pigments that fade true to their original shade.

Typically two to three sessions spaced for healing, plus a perfecting touch-up around six weeks after your final session. Density builds gradually across sessions. That gradual build is what keeps the result looking natural rather than stamped on.

Redness fades within a day or two and the impressions soften as they heal. Most clients return to work immediately. Between sessions your result is simply 'in progress,' and subtle enough that most people just think you look a bit sharper.

Yes. Female density work is one of our specialties. We deposit pigment between your existing hair to fill in widening parts, thinning crowns, and sparse temples. No shaving is required, and the result is undetectable in everyday life.

Both soften gradually and typically last two to five years depending on your skin, lifestyle, and sun exposure. A color refresh appointment keeps them at their best.

Bolder and darker than the final result, and that's normal. Permanent makeup softens considerably as it heals (lip color softens 40 to 50 percent), and the six-week perfecting session finishes the result once your skin has settled.
